So, Nowadays we hear the word GUN and automatically associate it with crime, war and death to shortlist a few? However whilst undertaking some research for a current project I am working on looking at military influenced trends I came across some serious! “fashion fire arms”

It’s so easy to forget that the powerful aesthetic and presence that a gun has when channelled (or in some cases CHANEL’ed) in a non aggressive, highly creative way.

Whilst many would argue that these images are unacceptable and should be banned?



Others can appreciate the artistic and creative way in which they are used? "The vision is in the eye of the beholder, as is the intention in which you decide to use it!?"

Today it's been announced that she will be performing at the Bilbao's BBK Live Festival in Spain on 8th July.

The festival runs from the 7-9th July and should be firmly penned in to everyone's festival diary. Other acts to perform include The Chemical Brothers, Coldplay and Crystal Castles.

With this recent activity, it's clearly a case of 

"NEW YEAR,  NEW WINEHOUSE"

Westwood is TOTE's Taking Ethical Fashion Forward.

Long standing "Eco Warrior" Dame Vivienne Westwood continues to raise awareness of GLOBAL issues through her fashion and charity work.

A recent example (That i cant personally wait for) are the TOTE bags that previewed in the SPRING/SUMMER 2011 Gold Label Show PARIS.

They are a collaberation with Ethical Fashion Programme in collaboration with the International Trade Centre http://www.intracen.org/

They will feature 3 statement Designs - The quilted orb, The gaia heart, the 'Get a life'Banner and are made of recycled materials.
